Obituaries

A.J. Cox, age 25, of Newton Twp., passed away on Thursday.
Born in Scranton on November 29, 1989, he was the beloved son of Alton, Jr., and Lettie Marino Cox, with whom he lived. A graduate of Abington Heights High School, Class of 2008, he had worked for Wince Construction of Scranton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything to do with being outdoors. A hard worker who also played hard, he’ll forever be remembered for his joking humor. He’ll be forever missed by his loved ones.
He is also survived by his brother, Matthew Cox of Moosic; and his maternal grandmother, Lettie Salerno Marino of Old Forge.
Paternal grandparents, Alton, Sr., and Phoebe Jane Wilson Cox, and a maternal grandfather, James Marino, preceded him in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of A.J.’s life on Sunday between 1-4:00PM at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
