Jack E. Storm, age 57, a longtime resident of West Scranton, passed away Christmas Eve at home. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Cohowicz Storm.
Born in Scranton on December 15, 1957, son of the late Ellis and Elizabeth Black Storm, Jack was a graduate of Riverside High School, Class of 1975 before serving his country in the United States Army. A general contractor, he worked many years for Simplex Modular Homes before currently working for Scartelli Construction Services. He was an active member of the Taylor American Legion, Post #306, and was an avid sports fan, rooting for both the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Yankees. He played local softball for many years and enjoyed playing cards. His greatest joy came while spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.
He is also survived by his son, Jason Storm of Scranton; a step-son, Carl Elgin of Scranton; three step-daughters, Linda Williams of West Pittston, Renee Neil of Exeter and Lisa Sutton of Harding; a grandson, Jason Storm, Jr.; 11 step-grandchildren; and a great step-granddaughter.
Funeral services by Rev. James A. Wert are scheduled for Sunday at 4:00pm at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with a military tribute by the AMVETS Honor Guard to follow.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 2:00PM until services.
