Obituaries

Joaquina Sampaio, age 80, of Clarks Summit, died Friday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, William Sampaio, on December 8, 2012.
Adored by her family, she is survived by her five children; ten grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, November 30th, at 4:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, to be conducted by Rev. Dr. Joliam Sampaio, Joaquina’s son and Pastor of the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Taylor.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00PM until services.
