Michael Andrew Rosipko, a recent resident of the Lackawanna County Health and Rehabilitation Center and a lifelong resident of Olyphant, died Sunday.
Born Sept. 23, 1929, son of the late Mary and Michael Rosipko, Michael was honorably discharged from the Army while ranking as a sergeant. He earned the National Defense Medal from his time in the service. Upon retirement, he became a greeter at Walmart, a job he loved as he made many of friends throughout the years. He will be missed.
A graveside blessing service has been scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Ghost Cemetery, Blakely.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s name to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, 967 Griffin Pond Road, South Abington Twp., 18411.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 125 N. Main Ave., Scranton.
