Obituaries

Glenn Macarski, age 55, of Atlanta, Georgia, died Thursday morning after a brief illness. Born in Scranton on November 2, 1958, son of Sarah Ferraro Macarski of Dalton and the late Walter Macarski, Glenn was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School. Before moving to Georgia, he worked as a packer for Penthouse Meat in East Benton. Thoughtful and caring, he had often volunteered at various food pantries in the Atlanta area. He will be dearly missed by his dear relatives and friends.
Also surviving are his five children, David, John, Kimberly, Pauline and Gabrielle; his sister, Janine Albrecht and David, Sr., of Clarks Summit; his brother, Jason Macarski of Dallas, Texas; and many grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His family would like to thank the entire ICU staff of Wellstar Cobb Hospital’s Tranquility Unit for the tremendous care given to Glenn.
Blessing services at the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Pastor of Divine Mercy Parish in Scranton, will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Glenn’s name to the United Community Outreach Food Pantry, 2011 Moosic Lake Road, Jefferson Twp., 18436.
