Obituaries

Nicholas Yaworski, Jr., age 62, of Old Forge, died Thursday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Evelyn Whittaker.
Born in Peckville on August 17, 1951, son of the late Nicholas, Sr., and Margaret Wagner Yaworski, Nicholas was a graduate of the former Blakely High School. A member of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Germany during his time in the service. Nicholas was employed by RCA Electronics before working as a pool installer for Olympic Pools prior to his retirement. A car enthusiast, he enjoyed doing restorations and body work on all types of vehicles. A die-hard NASCAR fan, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt, Sr. Loved by many, he will be dearly missed.
Also survived are six step-children; siblings, Michael, Diane and Julieanne; and three nephews.
A blessing service to be conducted by Rev. Francis L. Pauselli, Pastor of Divine Mercy Parish, is scheduled for Wednesday at 8:00PM in the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 6:00PM until services. Interment, private.
