John (Jack) Kozlowski, age 81, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Wednesday evening at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Beverly Bennett Kozlowski. Born in Dickson City on December 30, 1932, son of the late John and Mary Czeronka, Jack was educated in Dickson City Schools before honorably serving in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. Prior to his retirement, he was honored for thirty years of dedicated service to the McKinney Corporation. An outdoorsman, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. If the game involved dice or cards, he probably enjoyed playing it, and he also loved horse racing at the Mohegan Sun. A longtime photographer, Jack had proudly photoed many weddings throughout the years. He will be dearly missed by his loving family.
He is also survived by his daughter, Mary Ann Bauman of Scranton; two grandsons, John Bauman and wife Jamie of West Wyoming, and Dustin Bauman of Philadelphia; his great granddaughter, Natalie Bauman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Brothers, Joseph and Edward Kozlowski, also preceded him in death.
His family would like to acknowledge the staff of Geisinger’s Intensive Care Unit for their tremendous care.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday at 2:00PM in Fairview Memorial Park Chapel. Interment with military rites by the AMVETS Honor Guard will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s name to the American Cancer Society, 712 South Keyser Avenue, Taylor, 18517.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge.
