Maria Consuelo Yengle de Rospigliosi of Scranton, age 97, died on Thursday at the Mountain View Care Center In Scranton. Born in the city of Trujillo in Peru, she was the daughter of Manuel Yengle Maestre and Irene Segura. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Rospigliosi V. in 1992, and her son, Roberto E. Rospigliosi on February 23, 2014.
After getting married, Maria Consuelo was a homemaker who had a gift for hospitality who enjoyed entertaining her family and friends. Both, she and her husband, had a passion for tango and enjoyed travelling together. Maria touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She will be deeply missed by her adoring family.
She is survived by three daughters, Florelena Rospigliosi, Teresa Rospigliosi and Victoria Posloncec all of Scranton, and two sons, Juan M. Rospigliosi of Lima, Peru, and Cesar G. Rospigliosi of Archibald. She had 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of Nicanor Yengle, Salvador Yengle, Jorge Yengle, Humberto Yengle, Marina de Beltran, Regina Palacios and Grace Stewart, all deceased.
Funeral services are scheduled to begin on Monday at noon from the Kevin K. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue in Scranton, with a 1:00PM Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Parish, 801 Taylor Avenue in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Patrick J. McLaughlin. Interment will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery. Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 1-4:00PM at the funeral home.
