Pamela Davis Swoyer, L.P.N., age 62, a resident of West Scranton, died Thursday evening at Riverside Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Taylor. Born on September 22, 1951, daughter of the late Thomas G. and Mary C. Barrett Davis, Pamela was a graduate of the former West Catholic High School before earning her nursing degree from Moses Taylor’s School of Nursing. She work as a Licensed Practical Nurse for both the Moses Taylor and Eastern General Hospitals. She will be dearly missed by her beloved daughter, siblings, family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Haley Davis, with whom she resided; her sister, Marybeth Cleveland and fiance Joseph Macareo of Scranton; her brothers, Robert Davis and wife Mary of Scranton, William Davis of Reading, Bradley Davis of Old Forge and Thomas Davis and wife Lisa of Clarks Summit; and many nieces and nephews, especially her loving niece, Shelby Baranow.
Her family would like to thank the staff of Caregivers of America, especially Erica, for their care throughout Pamela’s illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Tuesday at 11:00AM in the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel, 1605 Oram Street in Scranton, to be celebrated by Rev. Martin Boylan, Pastor. Interment will follow at the Cathedral Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday at the church from 10:30AM until Mass.
With gratitude for the tremendous care and compassion they gave to Pamela, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Traditional Home Health and Hospice, 113 W. Drinker St., Dunmore, 18512.
