Ronnie Lynn Masters, 66, passed away on Thursday, February 6th in Regional Hospital of Scranton following a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Her husband of 44 years was the late James D. Masters who died on January 12, 2013.
Born in Clarks Summit on June 26, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Bertha Lytle. A graduate of Abington Heights High School, she had been employed by the Taylor Nursing and Rehabilitaton Center and the Scranton Health Care Center, prior to her retirement.
Ronnie was a loving wife, mother, and sister who had a great love for people. The biggest joy of her life was her grandson, Jeremy Tobin, with whom she loved spending countless hours walking in the park and engaging in playful activities. She was his biggest “fan”.
Ronnie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her dear friend, Marie, for her kindness and support during Ronnie’s illness.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda Tobin, and husband, Patrick, Taylor; son, James, Scranton; grandson, Jeremy Tobin; sister, Grace Martinsen, Clarks Summit; brother, Ralph Lytle, Clarks Summit; Brother-in-law, Jack Logan, Tunkhannock; sister-in-law, Kathleen Flower, Mountaintop; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Nancy Smith and Marilyn Logan.
A Blessing Service will be held at a later date in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., Old Forge.
