Robert Crawn, Sr., age 89, of Moosic, passed away Saturday morning, September 1st,, at Allied Hospice in Scranton. He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene Weitz Crawn. Together for 33 years, September 3rd would have marked their 26th wedding anniversary.
Born in Morris Twp., New Jersey, on Christmas Eve, 1928, Robert was the son of the late Charles and Ethel Titus Crawn. Educated at Roxbury Twp. Schools, he was a lifelong truck driver who worked for Elmer Shiffer and Wilbert Marquard before retiring in 1990 from Defazio Express after 22 years of employment.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will forever be missed.
He is also survived by his children, daughters, Eleanor Perrone of Tennessee, Ethel Baker of Oklahoma and Barbara Stark of Virginia, Robert Crawn, Jr. of Gouldsboro and Barry Crawn of Tunkhannock; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved pups, Ginger, Princess and Daisy.
He was preceded in death by a great grandson, Jordan Johnson; and 8 siblings, Hazel, Ada, Alice, Isabel, Edna, Henry, George and Charles Crawn, Jr.
Private funeral services are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 517 North Main Street, Old Forge, with interment at Marcy Cemetery in Duryea.
