Charles (Chuck) Richter, Jr, of Scranton, died Sunday afternoon at home after a long battle with cancer.
Educated at Johnson College and noted as a “jack of all trades, master of all”, he last worked for Pace Construction of Scranton. An avid fisherman, nothing gave him more pleasure than fishing with his girls and being outdoors. Passing away peacefully surrounded by his family, he’ll forever be missed by family and friends.
He is survived by wife of 39 years, Barbara; son, Charles, III, and wife, Melanie; daughter, Eryn; four beautiful granddaughters, Stephanie, Taylor, Layla and Ryleigh; sisters Kerri, Beth and Susie; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Romaine, on February 5th; father, Charles, Sr.; stepmother, Barb; sisters Kathleen Pasternak, Jodi Calimino; and a grandniece, Brittany.
His family would like to thank the staffs of both Moses Taylor Hospital and Allied Hospice for treating him like a king throughout his final days.
Shiva will be observed Friday at 2:00PM at 1534 Capouse Avenue in Scranton.
Arrangements are under the care of the Kearney Funeral Home, Inc., 125 North Main Avenue, Scranton.
