Brian Muha, age 52, a lifelong resident Old Forge, passed away Saturday at Regional Hospital of Scranton, after an illness.
Born on March 15, 1966, son of parents, John, Jr., and Barbara Clark Muha, Brian was a graduate of the former Bishop O’Hara High School, Class of 1984. A self-taught computer technician, Brian began a career in information technology with Adams Cable. He then began working for Pier 39 Technologies before HiredScore, both technology companies based in Tel Aviv, Israel. After returning from Israel, he took a job for Comcast, based in New York City, where he had last worked from home.
Brian was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting, however his true love was Texas Hold ‘Em Poker. He rarely missed a tournament at the Mohegan Sun and he was a familiar face on the local home game circuit. Loved by all who knew him, he was loving and caring and taken too soon; he will long be missed.
He is also survived by his children, Tara Marie Muha of Gouldsboro and Christopher Rizzo of Pittston; his brother, Gregory Muha and wife Laura of Dickson City; his nephew and niece, Ethan and Mackey Muha; his granddaughter and grandson, Octavia Rose and Lincoln Michael; and his devoted companion, Donna Kupetz of Old Forge.
His family would like to bestow its gratitude to the staff of Regional Hospital’s I.C.U., especially to Chris, R.N., and Kurt, R.N., for their tireless efforts while Brian was under their care.
